Part of the Retroscope family archive film day
We’re inviting schools, community groups, businesses or individuals to decorate a brolly and compete for the title of the Most Popular Parasol.
The competition will be judged by the general public and there with special prizes for winners.
Registration fee is £5. For this you will receive a plain umbrella to decorate and entry to the competition.
Entries should be based on any of the following themes:
- Blackpool
- Seaside
- Holiday; or
- Funfair
We are looking for originality, imagination and creativity.

You will need to drop off your completed parasol by Friday 21 July and collect it after the event by Monday 21 July before 4.00pm.
Prizes:
- Group Prize: A free Pop-up Picturehouse screening at your venue
- Individual Prize: A vintage Blackpool themed hamper containing items and gift vouchers worth over £120.
Entry to the event is between 11am & 4.30pm on Saturday 29th July.
